MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) - The work on the text of the address of the CIS heads of state to the peoples of the CIS countries and the international community in connection with the 80th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 is underway, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The draft document was agreed at a meeting of the group of experts in Minsk on 16 March. The meeting was attended by representatives of Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the CIS Executive Committee.
After discussing the comments and proposals, the experts decided to submit the draft of the address for consideration at the next session of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council which is due in Moscow on 2 April. After the approval by the ministers of foreign affairs, the document will be submitted to the CIS leaders.
