CIS states discuss cooperation in legal affairs

MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – The second session of the working group to draw up the convention on the legal status of the delegations to the CIS countries was held in the CIS Executive Committee on 23 November via videoconferencing, BelTA learned from the CIS Executive Committee.

Taking part in the session were representatives of legal services of the foreign ministries of Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the legal department of the CIS Executive Committee.

The decision to draw up the convention was made by the advisory committee of the heads of legal services of the ministries of foreign affairs of the CIS member states. The convention will regulate matters regarding immunity of delegation members and the procedure for organization of visits.

The working group will continue reviewing the draft convention in the first half of 2021.
