MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) - A regular meeting of the CIS Plenipotentiaries Council will take place in the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk on 30 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The plenipotentiaries are set to discuss the activities of the CIS Council for Cultural Cooperation and the CIS Council of Heads of State News Agencies.
The plenipotentiaries are also expected to take stock of the progress made in the implementation of the free trade zone agreement. The document was signed on 18 October 2011. Its main goal is to create conditions for stable development of the economy to improve the living standards of the population, and develop mutual trade without barriers.
Besides, the CIS Plenipotentiaries Council will discuss preparations for the next meetings of the CIS Heads of State Council and the CIS Foreign Ministers Council slated to take place in person in Astana on 13-14 October.
