
MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) - The draft agenda of the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council includes more than 20 draft documents and 14 items, Tajikistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus, Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CIS Bakhtovar Safarzoda told a press conference in Minsk on 29 July, BelTA learned.
"Today we will discuss the draft agendas for the upcoming autumn meetings of the CIS supreme statutory bodies. As is known, on 30 September Minsk will host a meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council that will consider a broad range of issues: from scientific-technological cooperation to digital economy, agriculture, and peaceful uses of atomic energy. The agenda includes 14 items and 25 draft documents, including the plan of action to the second phase (2026-2030) of the CIS Economic Development Strategy and preparations for the Year of Health," Bakhtovar Safarzoda stated.
“Dushanbe will host meetings of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council and the CIS Heads of State Council on 9-10 October," the Ambassador noted. "Approval of programs on culture, human rights, counterterrorism, and regional energy security is expected," he emphasized.
On 29 July Minsk is set to host to a regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member states to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS. During the session, the permanent representatives will review the draft agendas for the upcoming meetings of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council, the CIS Heads of Government Council and the CIS Heads of State Council scheduled to be held in Dushanbe and Minsk this autumn.Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of Tajikistan to the CIS Bakhtovar Safarzoda will provide an update on the progress in the implementation of the Concept of Tajikistan's CIS Chairmanship in 2025 and its accompanying Action Plan during the first half of the year. The permanent representatives will also discuss matters related to media coverage of the Commonwealth of Independent States' activities.
