CIS coordinates documents on basic organization of notarial activities

MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) - A meeting of a group of experts on the establishment of the CIS basic organization of notarial activities took place at the CIS headquarters in Minsk on 16 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee.

The key issue on the agenda was the consideration of the draft decision of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council on giving the Belarusian Chamber of Notaries the status of the CIS basic organization of notarial activities and the draft regulations of this basic organization.

The group of experts agreed on draft documents and noted that the proposed form of international cooperation on the implementation of notarial activities would help ensure high level of notarial services, observance of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens (organizations) of the CIS states.

The initiative to set up such a basic organization belongs to the Justice Ministry of Belarus. The proposal was supported at the session of the CIS Justice Ministers Council, held in December 2021.
