MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) - The Chinese Embassy in Belarus will choose the top 10 events in the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation in 2024, BelTA has learned.
“2024 was also a landmark year for the Chinese-Belarusian relations. Today we can confidently say that our relations are based on mutual respect, sincerity, friendship, and our cooperation has passed all the tests of time and is truly a model of relations between states. Let us together recall the most important and vivid events of the China-Belarus bilateral agenda in the past year,” the Chinese Embassy in Minsk said.
New Year concert of folk instrumental music “Merry Spring Festival 2024 in Belarus” was held in Minsk on 26 January.
The meeting of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the margins of the SCO summit in Astana on 4 July was important.
The embassy also drew attention to the meeting of the SCO culture ministers within the framework of the 33rd international arts festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 12 July 2024.
The list of events also includes the regular meeting of the subcommittee on China-Belarus trade and economic cooperation and the coordinating working group on the China-Belarus Industrial Park held in Minsk on 19 July.
Undoubtedly, the official visit of Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang to Belarus in August 2024 is one of the highlights of the year.
This year, China and Belarus have signed an agreement on trade in services and on making investment in Minsk.
The China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone hosted an exhibition of Chinese goods and services on 25-28 August 2024. The exhibition attracted great interest among visitors.
The China-Belarus Industrial Park also hosted an exposition of Chinese medical equipment on 24 September.
Belarus took part in the 7th China International Import Expo on 5-10 November.
Minsk hosted the Days of Chinese Cinema as part of the 30th Minsk International Film Festival Listapad on 2 November.
Within the framework of China's assistance project, the world-class swimming pool was put into operation in Minsk on 6 November.
The Chinese ambassador scholarships for 2024 were awarded to Belarusian students who demonstrated proficiency in Chinese language learning on 12 November 2024.
Within the framework of the Days of Chinese Culture in Belarus, Minsk played host to Happy Chinese New Year concert of Chinese masters of arts on 21 December 2024.
