MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) – The photo exhibition titled Remembering the Past, Building the Future vividly reflects the Chinese nation's tremendous contribution to the Victory, President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua said in his video address to attendees of the exhibition's opening ceremony on 15 August, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World War II, BelTA reports.
“Photographs are a ‘universal language’ that needs no translation. They evoke emotional responses transcending time and space. For this exhibition, Xinhua and the Chinese Embassy in Belarus have carefully selected around 70 historical and contemporary photographs,” Fu Hua noted.
He further stressed: “These images demonstrate the Chinese nation's monumental role in securing Victory in World War II and showcase the decisive leadership of the Communist Party of China in defeating Japanese aggression. They tell the touching story of fraternity between Chinese and Soviet peoples who fought side by side and highlight the fruitful results of comprehensive China-Belarus practical cooperation.”
As China's global state news agency, Xinhua has 184 foreign bureaus, delivering round-the-clock multimedia content in 15 languages, including text, photos and videos, to over 8,000 media outlets worldwide.
