MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – I feel profoundly sad about leaving Belarus, outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong said in an interview to BelTA.
“I am leaving my post here and returning to China. I am overwhelmed with sadness at the need to leave Belarus soon,” the diplomat said. “Belarus is the last mission in my 34-year diplomatic career. I have warm feelings and high regard for Belarus and its people. The natural scenery and cultural landscape of Belarus have left me with unforgettable impressions, while the friends I have made working and living here make me feel profoundly sad about leaving the country,” he said.
Xie Xiaoyong assured that wherever he finds himself in the future he will continue to support and promote Belarusian-Chinese cooperation and contribute to the sustainable development of bilateral relations.
