MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) - China Merchants Group, one of the key shareholders of the industrial park Great Stone, will send assistance to Belarus to help it fight against coronavirus, BelTA learned from the Industrial Park Development Company.
On 8 April China Merchants Group handed humanitarian cargo worth $300,000 over to Belarusian Ambassador Nikolai Snopkov. For example, the company acquired 10,000 pulse oximeters and 30,000 masks of the highest protection class. The cargo is planned to be sent to Belarus as part of the next special humanitarian flight. China Merchants Group also provides gratuitous logistics support, including clearance, storage and loading services as humanitarian goods are sent from Beijing to Belarus.
Currently, the Belarusian Embassy in China and the Chinese Embassy in Belarus are collecting protective equipment, disinfectants and medical products from Chinese government agencies and commercial organizations. These cargoes will be handed over to the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus.
During the COVID-19 epidemic in China, Belarus provided support to China and sent two planes with humanitarian assistance to China. As the epidemic situation in Europe has worsened, China, in turn, has supported Belarus. On 1 April, China sent a plane with COVID-19 tests, protective suits, infrared thermometers, goggles, disposable gloves and shoes to Belarus. At the moment the parties are discussing sending Chinese doctors - specialists to fight the epidemic to Belarus.
