Capabilities of new border guard station Borovoye at Belarusian-Ukrainian border examined

LELCHITSY DISTRICT, 14 March (BelTA) – Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Neverovsky has examined the physical infrastructure of the new complex of the border guard station Borovoye of the Mozyr border guard detachment, BelTA has learned.

This border service unit started guarding the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in May 2014. Back then the military personnel also occupied the building of the rural council in the populated locality Borovoye. The construction of the new border guard station began in 2022 as part of the program on improving the border security of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
While on a tour of the border guard station Aleksandr Neverovsky was made familiar with the organization of the border service, with the modern technical solutions used to guard the border, with weapons and gear used by border service personnel, and with the accommodations available to the personnel. In his words, the inauguration of the new border guard station is an important step in protecting the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. The station has been built taking into account modern technologies and boasts cutting-edge equipment. It will allow improving the effectiveness of guarding this section of the Belarusian border.

Top-ranking officers of the border guard unit also informed Aleksandr Neverovsky about the situation in this area and about their accomplishments in this line of work.
Close attention was paid to further improvement of border security, improvement of engineering solutions used to protect the border, alarm systems, and the latest solutions for detecting border trespassers. Aleksandr Neverovsky mentioned the high level of combat readiness and morale of the personnel and effective organization of the border service.
