MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – Lithuanian authorities have allowed the bus with the children’s choir from Moldova to cross the border after it was denied entry for two days, point.md reports citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova.
According to the foreign ministry, after negotiations the Lithuanian authorities issued the necessary permit for the bus carrying the Rhapsody children’s choir to cross the border.
“As a result of the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs [of Moldova], the Lithuanian authorities issued the necessary travel permit for the bus carrying the children. This document was missing, and without it the travel through the territory of Lithuania was impossible,” the foreign ministry remarked.
A reminder, Polish and Lithuanian border guards did not allow the bus with the children’s music group from Moldova to cross the border for almost two days. The children performed first in Poland and then in Minsk. However, they were not able to return to Moldova. Their bus was denied entry by the Polish and then by the Lithuanian border guards. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova commented on the situation saying that the bus carrying the children was denied entry because the carrier did not have the necessary permit.
