BSU to host online conference on promoting healthy lifestyle among students

MINSK, 6 October (BelTA) – The two-day online international research conference to discuss ways to promote a healthy lifestyle among students will kick off at Belarusian State University (BSU) on 8 October, BelTA learned from the BSU press service.

Taking part in the conference will be around 40 students, researchers, university teachers, and representatives of educational institutions and healthcare facilities of Belarus and Ukraine. “Specialists will discuss cultural, environmental, social, and psychological factors related to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the youth, its cultural and historical traditions, and the use of information technology in physical culture and sport. The program also includes presentations of research on students' Internet addiction, professional diseases of IT specialists, and advantages of taking martial arts classes in the educational process,” the press service said.

The forum will be divided into six sections. The discussions will be held on the website of the conference on 8-9 October. Registered users will be able to ask questions and comment on the research projects. Plans are in place to compile a collection of papers from the conference that will be available at the BSU Digital Library.

The organizer of the event is the Faculty of Social and Cultural Communications of BSU.
