MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) - The international scientific panel session “Happiness is not in the award for valor, but in the valor itself” will take place at the Belarusian State University (BSU) on 9 February. The event will mark the 70th birthday of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Viktor Fedosik and will be held in a mixed format, BelTA learned from the press service of the university.
“The panel session will be attended by over 60 researchers from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, China and the USA. They will present their scientific reports in four sections to discuss topical issues of the history of the ancient world, the Middle Ages, the early modern times, religion, and historiography,” the press service said.
A collection of scientific articles will be published following the panel session.
The event is organized by the History Department of the Belarusian State University.
Viktor Fedosik is a professor, a renowned expert on the history of antique Christianity in Belarus. He is the author of more than 360 scientific and scholarly works, including seven monographs, and the coauthor of more than a dozen publications. The first Belarusian university textbook on history of Middle Ages has been published under his scientific editorship.
