MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – I fell in love with Belarus and decided to stay and work here, Will Eggerton, a blogger from the UK, told BelTA.
He met with members of the House of Representatives of Belarus on 22 May.
"I first came to Belarus in May last year. I visited several times until I finally decided to settle here and find a job. I studied international relations and foreign languages at university. Now, I work as a social media marketer here," Will Eggerton explained. "I feel very comfortable here. I have made friends and found new opportunities. It's like a fresh start for me. I really enjoy living here. Belarus is a beautiful and clean country - this is what I value most. I believe all foreigners would agree with me."
According to him, the most noticeable difference between Belarus and Western countries is people. "Here, I have been welcomed as one of their own. Even though I am not from here, not Belarusian, people talk to me as if I am one of them. And that is very nice," the blogger noted.

"It does not mean that I dislike my home country. I have my parents and family there. But at some point, I realized there was nothing waiting for me there. So, I started traveling, came here, and fell in love with this country. This is why I decided to stay," Will Eggerton added.
