BREST, 16 October (BelTA) – The Brest Oblast combined orchestra will perform at the Marathon of Unity in Gomel, Valery Koval, artistic director and chief conductor of the Brest Oblast concert orchestra, told BelTA.
Performing will be the Brest Oblast concert orchestra of wind and pop music, the exemplary orchestra of the Brest Red Banner Border Guard Group named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky and the military band of the Pinsk border guard unit.
“Our composition is called Belaya Rus, a fantasy of Belarusian songs. It is played by a choreographic ensemble from Baranovichi. We have prepared a show, a small dynamic performance, with a backup dancing. It is going to be a draw of the concert,” Valery Koval said.
Each band is holding separate rehearses, and then the act will be rehearsed together in Gomel. The performance of the combined orchestra will include about 100 musicians and dancers. “There will be a full palette of a brass band, from the small flute to the sousaphone,” the conductor said.
The Brest Oblast artists will travel to Gomel on 17 October. The orchestra will perform at the Marathon of Unity on 19 October.
