
MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) – Inclusive tours will soon be available in Braslav, the Braslav Lakes National Park told BelTA.
An introductory trip to Braslav is scheduled for 29 July, featuring three tour options: Exploring Braslav Lakes National Park, Heading to Viva Braslav, Discovering the Belarusian Lake District. The initiative aims to promote tourism among people with disabilities and will be especially useful for travel agencies working with target groups such as wheelchair users and individuals with limited mobility.
The program includes visits to several sites: the museum of the traditional culture, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, the Braslav District cultural center, the beach (the Inclusive Beach initiative), Castle Hill, the Drivyaty recreation base, which offers a pool with special lifts and electric scooters for people with limited mobility.
“Inclusive tours are a new direction in Braslav’s tourism development. Braslav Lakes National Park is creating new opportunities for people with limited mobility,” the park representatives noted.
The accessible tourism in Braslav initiative is supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Belarus as part of the joint project “Supporting Belarus’ Efforts in the Nationalization and Localization the Sustainable Development Goals”, funded by the Government of the Russian Federation.
