MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – UK authorities advise against visiting Belarus, Will Eggerton, a blogger from the UK, told BelTA.
"Our country has a list [of restricted destinations]. Belarus and Russia are on the red list. Ordinary British people are afraid to come here," he said.
However, the blogger admitted that he has fallen in love with Belarus so much that he decided to stay here and find a job. "Right now, in the UK things are very difficult with housing. Everything is getting more expensive," Will Eggerton noted.

The blogger stressed that he was warmly welcomed in Belarus, has made many friends. He also invited his parents to visit Belarus. "My parents are easy-going people. They do not mind that I am living here. I have also lived in Russia. They know that things are not quite the same as they are portrayed in the UK. There are opportunities here, and people are kind. I tell them everything. I invited them to visit Belarus, but my father recently had knee surgery and has trouble walking. I think they will come someday," he added.
