BelTA's photo exhibition highlighting Belarus’ achievements opens in Grodno

GRODNO, 14 February (BelTA) – The Sovereign Belarus exhibition featuring 100 photos has opened at the Triniti shopping center in Grodno, BelTA has learned.

The exhibition, which has been put together by the Belarusian new agency BelTA and which is travelling around the country, features 100 photos taken by BelTA’s photo correspondents. Every photo reflects the achievements of Belarus in different sectors: agriculture, manufacturing sector, medicine, education, culture, science and technology. The exhibition covers all sectors of the Belarusian economy and its achievements over 30 years.

Every stand has the photos that catch the eye and touch the heart. The photo captions help understand Belarus' 30-year-long path to becoming a truly sovereign and confident nation.

Mechanical engineering, oil refining, potash production, space development, the launch and successful operation of the BelNPP, food security… All these and more have been created and maintained by the bright minds and hardworking hands of every Belarusian.

The Kopach family were among the first to appreciate the large-scale work of the BelTA team. "The country is developing and you can see the progress. Every sector featured in this exhibition has made great strides," said Vitaly Kopach, who came to see the exhibition together with his wife Daria and son David. The Grodno resident believes that time is the best proof of this.

"We see innovations introduced all over the place. The country is making headway. Harvesters, BelAZ trucks, space developments… Shop shelves are groaning under piles of fresh food," he added. Vitaly Kopach noted that he was most interested in the stand highlighting Grodno Oblast: "I was looking for my company Grodno Azot and found it. This made me happy.”

But it was the stands of domestic harvesters that the young David liked the most. "I really like big machines. When I grow up, I will drive one of them," the boy said.

The unique photo exhibition Sovereign Belarus in Grodno will stay open until the end of the week.
