MINSK, 8 October (BelTA) – Belavia has launched long-haul flights, inaugurating its flight program to Hainan Island, the airline’s press service told BelTA.
“Belavia has marked a historic milestone with the launch of its first-ever long-haul service: the Minsk–Sanya–Minsk route. The inaugural flight, operated by an Airbus A330-200, departed Minsk National Airport early this morning,” the press service informed.
The press service noted that the flight is operating at 99% capacity with 278 passengers on board. The aircraft is scheduled to arrive at the airport in Sanya at 8:00 PM local time. During the 10.5-hour journey, passengers will enjoy two meals and full access to the onboard entertainment system, including movies, music, books, and games.
Sanya is Hainan’s premier resort, attracting visitors with its mild tropical climate, clear waters of the South China Sea, white sand beaches, and lush flora. This destination is served by a direct flight on a wide-body Airbus A330-200. The schedule is as follows: The flight from Minsk departs at 4:40 AM and arrives in Sanya at 8:00 PM local time. The return flight departs Sanya at 10:00 PM, with arrival in Minsk at 4:20 AM the following day.
