MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) - The Belarusian Women's Union will submit 67 proposals to the Belarusian People's Congress, Yelena Bogdan, the head of the Belarusian Women's Union, the first deputy healthcare minister, told the media, BelTA has learned.
She stressed that a lot of work has been done in all regions of the country, and women have been actively involved in the dialogue platforms. “We have put together many proposals and chose 67 most important ones. Mostly they are about social and economic development of the state and also about traditional family values, active participation of women in the country's life and development of women's entrepreneurship,” Yelena Bogdan noted. In her opinion, the most important proposals are about spiritual, moral and patriotic education of the younger generation.
"I hope that our proposals will make part of the resolution and will make the basis of the plan of action to implement the country's social and economic development program for the next five years," Yelena Bogdan said.
The Belarusian Women's Union nominated 135 delegates to participate in the Belarusian People's Congress.
