MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) - The Belarusian Women's Union has issued a statement in support of Polish women, BelTA learned from the public association.

“The Belarusian Women's Union cannot remain indifferent looking at what is happening today in many countries, especially our neighbors. We support women's initiatives and desire to stand up for their rights. At the same time, we, the women of Belarus, call to resolve the emerging contradictions in a constructive way, peacefully, avoiding manifestations of extremism,” the union said in the statement.

“We have long-term friendly ties with the Polish Women's League. Today, Belarus has a unique experience of providing pre-abortion psychological counseling to help thousands of women make a decision to save a child's life every year. We are ready to share and help Polish women with developing a system of pre-abortion counseling with the involvement of public organizations," the statement reads.

The women of Belarus have always advocated peace, family, and happiness of motherhood and are prepared to strengthen good-neighborly partnerships to ensure stability, security and unity of society.
