MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – The European Union is unwilling to honor its commitments to refugees and tries to make them look like a hybrid weapon, BelTA learned from representatives of the Smorgon District branch of the Belarusian Union of Women.
The source noted: “When a war destroys your house and prospects in the native country are limited to being killed by terrorists, people start to desperately desire to survive and calmly build their future. It is in this mood that families move towards the Western world where they are promised that new life. They take the most precious thing they have left – their kids.”
“It is women with small kids in their arms that lead the column of hope. Hundreds of people have become united into a group as they reasonably fear for their lives during the crossing of the Polish border. All of them flee the war to Germany where they were promised the new life. Now the European Union is unwilling to honor its commitments to these people and tries to make them look like a hybrid weapon. It is time to stop this madness,” the Belarusian Union of Women is convinced.
“Who else but us, women, should encourage Polish authorities to show wisdom and prudence? One shouldn't be indifferent to fates of mothers and children. One shouldn't lose humanity,” the Smorgon District branch of the Belarusian Union of Women stressed.
