Belarusian university to offer training courses for graduate students from UAE

MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) - Graduate students from the United Arab Emirates will take training courses at the Belarusian State University, BelTA learned from the university's press service.

The appropriate document was signed by BSU Vice Rector Konstantin Kozadayev and the head of the research projects at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) Fahad Al Yafei as a delegation of the Belarusian university visited Abu Dhabi, the UAE.

The launch of the educational project is scheduled for February. The training course will be held in English, at the Faculty of Physics of the Belarusian State University. The agreement between the universities involves joint scientific and educational activities, assistance in writing publications.

The BSU representatives also visited the Khalifa University. The UAE partners expressed interest in organizing practical training courses for students and graduate students at the BSU. The parties also reviewed the experience of the BSU industrial enterprises in commercialization of research developments. The parties agreed to set up a working group to draft a document on cooperation in science and education between the universities.

Khalifa University was founded in 2007. In 2017, with the merger of the Petroleum Institute and the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology the university grew considerably. Today the training provides twelve undergraduate programs, sixteen magistracy programs and two doctoral programs. Training of specialists is carried out in such areas as engineering, information technology, chemistry and petroleum geology. Khalifa University takes high positions in international rankings. It

also comes top of the Times Higher Education among UAE universities and is included in the top 200 best universities in the world in engineering and technology.
