GRODNO, 24 November (BelTA) - Representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus (FTUB) brought humanitarian aid to the refugee temporary accommodation facility in the transport and logistics center on the border on 24 November. The cargo is intended for children, BelTA has learned.
"We have brought zefir, chocolate and other sweets made in Belarus," said Yelena Golubeva, head of the main department for culture and social affairs at the FPB Council. “We have also brought coloring books and crayons so that children could have some fun. This is not the first humanitarian cargo from the trade unions. We ask in advance what people need and collect the right things. Help is very important, because refugees are hostages of the situation.”
The Belarusian Union of Women will also deliver about 1,500 sets of clothes as humanitarian aid on 24 November.
The mobile banya house has been mounted and is about to start operation. It is planned that refugees will be able to take a long-awaited shower in the first half of the day.
A press center will be launched near the transport and logistics center on 24 November.
