VITEBSK, 13 May (BelTA) – The open-air tourism exhibition "Braslav for Sustainable Tourism" due in Braslav District on 14-15 May will bring together tour operators from all over the country, Irina Umpirovich, the head of the sport and tourism department of the Braslav district administration, told BelTA.
Forty-five major tour operators of Belarus have applied to participate in the tourist exhibition in Braslav District. They will share their experiences and talk about new forms of work.
Guests of Braslav District will tour local tourist facilities. These are agro-eco-estates, cafes, BraslaWave sailing school, Braslav Lakes National Park. They will also visit the observation deck on Mayak Hill to admire the bird's-eye view of the local scenery. Local entrepreneurs providing tourist services will organize both introductory tours and regional cuisine presentations with tasting. The menu will feature organic village dishes and the signature Braslav fish soup. All in all , the event will bring together about 200 people," Irina Umpirovich said.
The hosts of the event will talk about the types of tourism developed in the district: nature, sport, cultural and educational, wellness, family, water, entertainment. Guests will also learn more about the Viva Braslav music festival, one of the biggest events and draws of Braslav District.
For their part, Belarusian tour operators will present their tourist products, share their best practices in promoting domestic tourism - a line of business that will grow in importance both in Vitebsk Oblast and the country.
