Belarusian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism joins World Heart Federation

MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism has become a full-fledged member of the World Heart Federation, Belarusian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism Chairperson, Professor, Doctor of Medicine Alla Shepelkevich told BelTA.

This status gives access to educational and other events of the international health community, including access to the WHO and UN platforms.

Such cooperation could facilitate healthcare and social projects in the field of early detection of cardiovascular diseases and reduction of cardiovascular deaths, as well as interdisciplinary educational projects for doctors.

At the moment, the Belarusian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism is the official partner of the European Society of Endocrinology and the International Society of Endocrinology in the territory of Belarus.

The Belarusian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism was founded in 2017. Its mission is to educate the medical community and the public about risk factors, possibilities of early detection, prevention and treatment of endocrine and metabolic disorders. It also promotes international and interdisciplinary cooperation to advance modern diagnostic solutions and cutting-edge technologies in healthcare.

The World Heart Federation is the principal representative body for the global cardiovascular community, representing more than 200 heart foundations, scientific societies, civil society and patient organizations from over 100 countries. The World Heart Federation works to end needless deaths and build global commitment for improved cardiovascular health at the global, regional, national and community levels.
