Belarusian schools to embrace multimedia teaching media

The plans are stipulated by the cooperation agreement signed by the central information and analysis center of the Belarusian Education Ministry and the Russian company Noviy Disk, BelTA has learned. The document was signed during the second international forum Information Technologies in Education (ITE 2018).

Director of the central information and analysis center Pavel Lis said: “The modern digital textbook is not some hardcopy released as a PDF file. It is all about presenting the teaching material in brand new ways. Audio and video content allows affecting different senses and contributes to more profound understanding of the subject. The development of quality multimedia educational content needs a lot of money, this is why cooperation with a leading Russian developer represents an excellent opportunity to adapt the practices, which have proven effective in Russia, to the Belarusian curriculum.”
