Belarusian-Russian relations hailed as strong, multifaceted

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) - Belarusian-Russian relations are strong and multifaceted, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich said as he spoke at the Belarusian-Russian expert meeting in Minsk on 21 June, BelTA has learned.

The deputy minister said addressing the Belarusian and Russian experts that it was very important to focus on the development of common approaches to many issues on the international agenda amid the current situation.

“Belarusian-Russian relations are strong and multifaceted, the ones allies should have. Against this background, it would be great if you focused not on them but on the potential of our joint foreign policy agenda, on the development of common approaches, meeting the interests of both partners, to the whole range of international issues that we face on a strategic level and on a daily basis, and on possible joint actions of the foreign ministries of our countries which could become elements of the program of coordinated actions in the foreign policy of the Union State member states,” Yuri Ambrazevich said.

“We are going to adopt its new version next year,” the deputy minister of foreign affairs said.
