MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) - The Petrus Brovka Belarusian Encyclopedia publishing house together with the National History Museum is preparing a project on artists, Olga Vanina, director of the publishing house, told BelTA on the margins of the 27th Minsk International Book Fair.
“The book will be dedicated to the artists of the 1920-30s. It will feature ethnographic sketches, drawings, portraits of Belarusians. It is a piece of both fine and scientific literature, which will be interesting to a wide range of readers. Together with the National Art Museum, we are working on a book dedicated to the art of Ferdynand Ruszczyc. This year we are also planning to publish Vladimir Korotkevich's personal encyclopedia,” Olga Vanina said.
On 8 February, the publishing house will present Vladimir Korotkevich's children's tales. This series of works entitled as Books of Our Childhood celebrates the 90th birthday of the Belarusian writer. “The series is dedicated to classical authors. The books are illustrated using the best examples of the national literature of the second half of the 20th century. Our stand also features QR codes to watch book trailers, short video presentations of books,” the director of the publishing house said.
