MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – The situation at the Belarusian-Polish border remains tense, the State Border Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
As of the morning on 12 November refugees, including women and children, still remain in front of the Polish fence at the Belarusian-Polish border. The situation remains tense. New groups of people come periodically to the refugee camp. A large group of refugees moved along the state border towards the spontaneous camp at about 11:00 on 12 November. The refugees request medical aid more and more often due to their lengthy stay in cold weather. Medical teams are stationed near the camp 24/7.
Public organizations and volunteers deliver humanitarian aid to the refugee camp when they can.
“Polish military personnel continue having psychological impact on the refugees by using loudspeakers, floodlights, and stroboscopes. They ignore requests for assistance for the people staying in the Polish territory right in front of the Polish fence,” the source added.
