Belarusian-Polish border checkpoint Peschatka pelted with metal balls

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – Representatives of Polish defense, security, and law enforcement agencies fired at the Belarusian border checkpoint Peschatka, the State Border Committee of Belarus told BelTA.

The incident happened on the night of 10-11 April. Polish military personnel fired at the Belarusian automobile border checkpoint Peschatka. They also tried to blind Belarusian border service personnel with stroboscopic lights. Their illegal actions were recorded by CCTV cameras.

After checking the premises a Belarusian border patrol also noticed damage to walls of the border checkpoint modules and found metal balls.

A Belarusian border marker had been previously fired at from the Polish territory in a similar manner, the State Border Committee of Belarus specified.

The Polish side was notified about the border incident.
