Belarusian MPs expected to show their worth amid reformatted traditional markets

MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – Parliamentarians will have to show their worth in conditions of reformatting of Belarus’ traditional markets, BelTA learned from Georgy Grits, an economic analyst, Candidate of Economics.

The analyst stressed that expectations concerning the current election campaign are based on the situation that is evolving around Belarus. “I am talking not only about the pressure of sanctions and challenges but about the overall geopolitical situation in the world,” he remarked. “We see the trends that didn’t exist before such as artificial intelligence and information technologies, which are becoming a positive tool or a negative one.”

According to Georgy Grits, the newly elected parliament will have to a hard job to do. “Work with voters, with legislative acts, with the outside world. Today in conditions of reformatting of our traditional markets in Russia and the CIS in favor of remote markets not only the executive branch and the head of state but also parliamentarians, who meet expectations of their voters, have to demonstrate their worth. A consolidation of efforts of the government and even one can say transition to a mobilization government mode,” he stressed.
