MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian company OAO MedLen has started making cotton-flax filters, which can be used with masks of any type, including gauze masks, the press service of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom told BelTA.
The filter can be replaced for up to five times, thus increasing the service life of the mask itself. The filter is a disposable product. It is sterile and offers a barrier to protect the body from pathogenic microorganisms. The material is hypoallergenic and can be used by people with sensitive skin. The edge of the filter is covered with adhesive to ensure better contact with the mask.
The company has already shipped the first 50,000 filters to Belarusian drugstores. The assembly line can make 200 filters per minute. The company intends to work on weekends, too, this is why MedLen filters will become available in every drugstore in the country soon.
