MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – As part of the campaign to test combat readiness of Belarusian army units the 19th Independent Guards Mechanized Brigade is pulling weapons, military, and special hardware out of storage, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

Reservists have also been drafted to assist with this work. In line with the schedule the military personnel will march to a staging area where they will continue fulfilling assigned tasks.

The brigade’s Deputy Commanding Officer for Armaments, Chief of Technical Support, Guards Lieutenant-Colonel Andrei Shchur said: “We’ve finished pulling hardware out of storage. The top-priority steps have been completed. The vehicles are passing state inspection. Everything proceeds according to plan. We intend to use combined means of transportation to get to the staging area: by rail and on our own.”
