Belarusian delegation to participate in Eurasian Women's Forum in St. Petersburg

MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova is holding a working meeting on Belarus’ participation in the fourth Eurasian Women's Forum, BelTA has learned.

“The fourth Eurasian Women's Forum will be held in St. Petersburg on 18-20 September. This forum is held under the auspices of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia. The chair of the organizing committee is Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko. The forum was first held in 2015,” Natalya Kochanova said. “Over the years, the forum has become a serious international platform where each country can communicate information about gender policy and women's empowerment.”
According to the speaker, the forum is large-scale. "The sections will cover absolutely all areas. There will be seven sections, including: medicine, education, culture, industry, agriculture," she said.

"We have already started serious preparations for the large-scale event. The interest in the forum is huge. Therefore, we must properly represent our country. First of all, it includes work in the sections and participation in the plenary session," Natalya Kochanova added.

The Eurasian Women's Forum is an influential international dialog platform for women-leaders from all continents. The forum develops joint solutions on topical issues of international cooperation, sustainable economic development, new technologies, healthy lifestyles and environmental safety, and social charity projects.

The forum participants include women parliamentarians, entrepreneurs, representatives of executive authorities, international organizations, business circles, scientific community, public organizations and charitable projects, international women's movement from many countries of the world.

The forum is organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia and the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
