MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – A delegation of the Armed Forces of Belarus led by Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Viktor Khrenin has arrived in the Russian city of Astrakhan, the Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The defense minister will observe the live fire stage of the CIS military exercise Combat Commonwealth 2021 on 2 September. Viktor Khrenin will evaluate the readiness of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense units. He will discuss the state of multilateral military cooperation with heads of military delegations of the CIS states within the framework of the Coordinating Committee for Air Defense under the CIS Defense Ministers Council.
Prospects of future cooperation taking into account national interests and priorities of the sides are supposed to be sketched out.
