MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – Special operations units with armored elements belonging to the Special Operations Command and the National Guard of Ukraine are deployed near Belarus’ state border, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry quoted Chief of the Central Office, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Vladimir Kupriyanyuk as saying.

Vladimir Kupriyanyuk said: “Today the Ukrainian army is unsuccessful in the battlefield and uses NATO weapons to deliver strikes against civilian infrastructure in Russian cities among other things. The geography of strikes grows larger all the time. Subversive and terrorist operations in Russia’s territory have been substantially increased. The West openly encourages the Kiev regime to continue combat operations to the last Ukrainian.”

Apart from that, the official noted that up to 15,000 personnel of the Ukrainian army are deployed in the direct vicinity of the Belarusian border. “A system of defensive lines, districts, and positions has been created and is constantly improved in the areas that border on Belarus,” he added.

Vladimir Kupriyanyuk pointed out that scouting operations of all kinds targeting Belarus continue. Mobile radioelectronic intelligence teams and unmanned aerial vehicles are used for this purpose in addition to other assets. Provocative actions and demonstrative actions are systematically carried out with regard to the personnel of Belarusian defense, security, and law enforcement agencies, who are deployed near the border.

“Special operations units with armored elements belonging to the Special Operations Command and the National Guard of Ukraine are permanently deployed near [Belarus’] state border,” Vladimir Kupriyanyuk stressed.
