Belarusian companies urged to invest in employee training

GOMEL, 29 February (BelTA) — Investing in employee training today is crucial for the confident development of an enterprise tomorrow, Yuri Gorlov appointed Aide to President - Inspector for Gomel Oblast, said at a conference hosted by the Gomel-Raton Free Economic Zone to review the performance in 2023, BelTA has learned.

One of the topics on the agenda of the conference was the human resources, employee training for FEZ resident companies.

Yuri Gorlov drew attention to the experience of the Russian special economic zone Alabuga which runs a major skilled labor training center." Customers who act as investors in employee training are resident enterprises of the economic zone. They  invest in laboratories, machinery, equipment in the center. This topic is also relevant for Gomel Oblast. We need to follow suit. After all, Investing in employee training today is crucial for the confident development of an enterprise tomorrow," he emphasized.

Yuri Gorlov believes that the demand of the the Gomel-Raton Free Economic Zone for niche specialists should be discussed in a comprehensive fashion to find ways to resolve the issue.

"This applies not only to niche specialties but also to such working professions as, for example, a gas-electric welder. The personnel issue is systemic, to be solved in a comprehensive manner," he summed up.
