MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – Over the last 24 hours control services of the European Union failed to clear the agreed number of semi-trailer trucks, representatives of the State Border Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
In this period Lithuania allowed 45% of the number of trucks it is supposed to clear daily to enter countries of the European Union. Meanwhile, the Polish border checkpoint Bobrowniki (Berestovitsa on the Belarusian side) allowed 36% of the agreed number of trucks to enter Poland.
There are also long truck queues trying to leave Lithuania to enter Belarus via the border checkpoints Medininkai (Kamenny Log on the Belarusian side) and Salcininkai (Benyakoni on the Belarusian side). Control services of the neighboring countries cleared only 39% of the standard number of trucks in these directions.
