 
                                            
                    MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – In 2025 the Belarusian air carrier Belavia launched flight programs to Hainan Island, China, Phu Quoc, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, which was made possible by the acquisition of long-haul aircraft. Flights to Oman have also resumed, Belavia Director General Igor Cherginets said during a press conference dedicated to Civil Aviation Workers' Day on 29 October, BelTA learned.
The Belarusian airline plans to resume flights to Almaty on 18 December with a frequency of twice a week, and to Thailand in early January.
In 2026, Belavia plans to launch direct charter flights to Jordan (in March) and to Tunisia (in May).
Igor Cherginets noted that expanding the flight network is a constant process. This includes a planned increase in flights to Russia. Regarding long-haul flights, two Airbus A330 aircraft are currently in operation. A third aircraft is planned to be put into service by February.
Flights are also performed from regional airports. In 2025, regular flights were launched from Brest to St. Petersburg and from Mogilev to Moscow, with a frequency of twice a week.
During the summer period, flights from Minsk to Makhachkala and from Minsk to Murmansk were resumed. The frequency of regular flights to Sochi, Makhachkala, and Baku has been increased.
All in all, regular flights are operated to 22 airports. Belavia operates charter flights from Minsk to Egypt (Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, El Alamein), Türkiye (Antalya, Bodrum, Izmir), Qatar (Doha), Oman (Salalah), the UAE (Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah) and from regional airports: from Vitebsk to Antalya and Sharm el-Sheikh, from Gomel to Antalya and Sharm el-Sheikh, and from Brest and Mogilev to Antalya.
"By the end of 2025, we plan to resume charter programs from Mogilev to Sharm el-Sheikh (in November) and from Brest to Sharm el-Sheikh in December," Igor Cherginets said.
 
All in all, in January-September 2024, 10,914 regular flights were performed, carrying 1.124 million passengers. In the same period in 2025, the figures were 11,284 flights (a 3.4% increase) and 1.182 million passengers (a 5.1% increase). For the entire previous year, the airline performed 14,419 flights transporting 1.477 million passengers. “In 2025 we are set to increase regular flights by 4.2%. Passenger numbers are projected to rise by 5.9%,” Igor Cherginets added.
Regarding regional airports, Belavia operates flights from Gomel to Moscow (Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo, 4 times a week), from Gomel to St. Petersburg (twice a week), from Brest to Moscow (Sheremetyevo, 4 times a week), from Brest to St. Petersburg (twice a week), and from Mogilev to Moscow (Sheremetyevo, twice a week). From regional airports in 2024, the airline performed 955 regular flights, carrying 64,500 passengers. In January-September 2025, the figures were 686 flights and 47,500 passengers. In January-September 2025, 1,030 flights were operated, carrying over 73,700 passengers, which represented an increase of nearly 50% year-on-year.
By the end of the year, the airline expects to operate approximately 1,400 regular flights from regional airports (a 47% increase). Pasnger numbers are projected at about 100,000 passengers (up by 50%).
“In general, the volume of transportation is growing,” Igor Cherginets said.
In January-September 2025 Belavia performed over 13,500 flights, including charter flights, regular routes, and flights from regional airports, (a 4.2% increase year-on-year), carrying approximately 1.6 million passengers (a 5.8% increase). For the entire previous year, the figures were over 17,200 flights and 1.9 million passengers. By the end of the current year, the airline is projected to perform 18,000 flights (up by 4.6%) and carry over 2 million passengers.
