Belarusian army’s artillery competition over

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – A competition for artillery batteries of self-propelled howitzers 2S1 Gvozdika has ended in the military training area Osipovichsky. Artillery units of mechanized army units of the Northwestern Operational Command and the Western Operational Command of Belarus’ Armed Forces took part in it, the Defense Ministry press service told BelTA.

During the first stage the artillerists had to meet individual and group performance criteria and performed vehicle driving exercises.

During the second stage the units had to march while crossing various natural and artificial barriers in addition to performing fire tasks.

The Defense Ministry added that the competition was organized bearing in mind the experience of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine: the operation of drones, fast maneuvering and constant redeployment and repositioning, camouflaging.
