MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – A squadron-level field exercise is taking place in the 1st Air Defense Missile Regiment of the Air Force and Air Defense Command of the Belarusian army, representatives of the Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The key goal of the field exercise is to improve field training and maneuvering capabilities of the squadron. The exercise will also help battery commanding officers to acquire practical skills while crews will work on their cohesion in the course of repulsing aerial attacks in a complicated radio warfare environment.
The squadron personnel have to practice marching to the designated area, switching the weapon systems to combat mode, deploying in a new position, organizing guard duties, engineering and logistics details, radiation, chemical, and biological protection as well as maintenance of weapon systems, military and special hardware. Close attention will be paid to meeting the specified standards as part of tactical training, tactical-special training, and special training as a crew.
The field exercise will allow improving field skills and cohesion of the squadron. It will also provide an opportunity for the personnel to get some hands-on experience.
