MOSCOW, 15 September (BelTA) – Units of the Armed Forces of Belarus arrived in the Russian military exercise area Kapustin Yar where they will take part in the strategic command and staff exercise Kavkaz 2020 [Caucasus] on 21-26 September, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The Belarusian military will work as part of a coalition force to practice defensive actions, defense against the enemy's air strikes, assumption of the offensive, and the consequent defeat of the enemy.
According to the source, during the exercise the Belarusian army will be represented by a total of about 350 people, over 30 combat tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, and six self-propelled artillery systems 2S1 Gvozdika.
