MINSK, 3 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian army is ready to do everything for the sake of security of its own nation, BelTA learned from State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich.
Aleksandr Volfovich said: “The president says that we don’t need a war, that the Belarusian nation does not want one. The Armed Forces, other forces and military units are ready to do everything to ensure the security of the Belarusian nation. This is why we keep our powder dry and are ready to always repulse aggression if anything untoward happens.”
The official pointed out that in Belarus they do not simply talk about historical memory but make every effort to preserve it. It is confirmed by the reverent attitude to existing memorials, by the opening of new museums and memorial complexes.
“In our country historical memory is a tribute of respect for our grandfathers and great grandfathers, who did everything they could 80 years ago with weapons in their hands for the sun to shine above our country and for us to have a peaceful sky. We, today’s generation, should continue defending our country and doing everything possible so that it could be safe and could live in peace,” State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich stressed.
