MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) - Belarus is drawing up a roadmap for cooperation with Lebanon, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov said in an interview with the Belarus 1 TV channel on 23 February, BelTA learned.
“As for Lebanon, the president has been informed about all the arrangements we agreed on during the recent visit [of the Belarusian delegation led by Maksim Ryzhenkov to Lebanon]. Specific tasks have been set. We will prepare a roadmap. It is already in the pipeline,” the minister said.
As it was previously reported, Belarus offers Lebanon supplies of food, machinery and other goods and is interested in using its port infrastructure.
Maksim Ryzhenkov conveyed a message from the Belarusian head of state to the president of Lebanon. Aleksandr Lukashenko offered his Lebanese counterpart to develop much deeper relationships in a number of areas. The Belarusian leader invited Joseph Aoun to visit Belarus to discuss all matters of interest to the parties at the highest level.
