Belarus win rescue and firefighter competitions in Moscow

MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – The international rescue and firefighter competitions for the Friendship Cup and the Golden Hook Ladder Award took place in Moscow on 12 May 12 as part of the 13th International Salon of Security Equipment Integrated Security 2021, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry.

Belarus won the tournament by clocking 80.53 seconds to beat Russia (83.67 seconds) in the team event, held as part of the discipline “Climbing the Hook Ladder on the Floors of the Training Tower".

Roman Vagner of Russia won the men's individual competition in 13.39 seconds. Second was Anton Tarasevich of Belarus (13.48 seconds). Nikita Cherepko of Belarus placed third (14.81 seconds).

Belarus clinched silver (45.02 seconds) in the women's team event, placing ahead of Bulgaria and behind Russia.
