MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – Around 15,000 foreign nationals visited Belarus without visas over the weekend, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
Since the visa-waiver program was launched on 15 April Belarus has welcomed 129,872 people: 84,888 citizens of Lithuania, 10,565 aliens and 33,399 citizens of Latvia.
Since 1 July when Belarus waived visas for Poland, 1,020 Polish citizens have visited Belarus
From 15 to 17 July, 7,069 foreigners entered Belarus: of them 4,313 were citizens of Lithuania, 1,913 citizens and 571 non-citizens of Latvia, and 216 citizens of Poland. The number of arrivals from Friday to Sunday increased by almost 10% compared to the previous weekend.
