Belarus, Vietnam discuss future interaction in military communications

MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – Belarus and Vietnam have discussed avenues of future cooperation in the field of military communications, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

A Belarusian military delegation led by Chief Signal Officer of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Chief of the Signal Office of the General Staff of Belarus’ Armed Forces Vadim Romaniv is in Vietnam on a working visit.

The head of the Belarusian delegation met with Chief of the Signal Corps of the People’s Army of Vietnam Vu Viet Hoang. The parties exchanged opinions about the organization of communications and accomplishments of the Belarusian defense industry and the Vietnamese one in the field of production of modern communications solutions. Avenues of future cooperation in the field of military communications were also discussed.

In continuation of the visit Belarus’ representatives went to the advanced information technology center of the Signal Corps of the People’s Army of Vietnam. Members of the delegation were made familiar with the center’s capabilities in the field of R&D and design and experimentation with regard to the production of Vietnamese communications solutions.
