MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vladimir Borovikov held a meeting with Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee of Vietnam Le Huu Hoang, BelTA learned the Belarusian Embassy in Vietnam.
The meeting featured a constructive exchange of views on a range of bilateral agenda issues, including promising directions to intensify trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation.
The parties reaffirmed the importance of expanding interregional cooperation and readiness to increase tourist flows between the Khanh Hoa province and regions of Belarus.
Ambassador Vladimir Borovikov, together with regional authorities, business representatives, and heads of foreign diplomatic missions, participated in the opening ceremony of the Sea Tourism and Culture Festival.
The festival, held in the coastal city of Nha Trang, will feature vibrant cultural and sports events and performances. Among them are the traditional the Bird's Nest Festival on Hon Noi Island, the Thap Ba Festival at the Po Nagar Cham Tower, an international food festival, beach volleyball competitions, an open-water swimming championship, and the Victory Challenge Sailun Cup auto race. Through these events, the province aims to promote its unique culture and sea tourism potential.
In 2025, Khanh Hoa plans to welcome 11.8 million tourists, including 5.2 million foreign visitors. It expects to host more than 1.5 million guests during the Sea Culture and Tourism Festival alone.
