MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) - The law enforcement agencies of Belarus and Uzbekistan are enhancing cooperation in digital security, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry.
A delegation from the Cybersecurity Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, led by head of the unit Mirzokhon Zubaidullaev, is visiting the Belarusian law enforcement agency. The guests have got familiar with the capabilities of the Academy of the Internal Affairs Ministry in combating high-tech crimes as well as specialized methodologies for training specialists. Subsequently, the delegation arrived in Grodno to learn about the experience of the cybercrime counteraction department of the regional police directorate.
During the visit, a series of meetings took place between Belarusian and Uzbek colleagues. Head of the Directorate for Cybercrime Counteraction of the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry Andrei Kovalev emphasized the importance of further strengthening international ties and the operational exchange of data. He noted the visitors’ interest in the legislative innovations and technical developments of Belarusian law enforcement. The parties identified priority areas for joint work and planned measures to counter international cyber threats.
